Terms Of Use / Privacy Policy / GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Compliance Statement

All access to and use of Sentry is governed by this Terms of Use / Privacy Policy / GDPR Compliance agreement. 

By using or subscribing to Sentry, you agree to the following.  You also acknowledge that this agreement may change from time to time without notice to you.

Any points of this agreement are to be deemed Void where prohibited by law. If any points are voided, the remaining points of the agreement stand in force.

A- Description / System & Know-how Requirements:

A1) Sentry is a 3rd Party Membership Access Management System and is (optionally) affected in an interconnected database capacity by either or both Stripe and PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN).

A2) Sentry is not a payment processor and has no formal business relationship or affiliation with any payment processor, including Stripe or PayPal.  

A3) Sentry is designed to operate with Stripe's Webhook system and PayPal's IPN notifications and does not purport to be anything other than a Membership Access Management System.

A4) Sentry does not gain access to your credit card information nor the credit card information of your subscribers.  Sentry employees have no direct access to any personal information, including e-mail addresses or passwords, of your members.

A5) No payment processor, including Stripe or PayPal, is obligated to assist Sentry users or members of Sentry users in any way. Such technical assistance is provided by Sentry.

A6) System & Know-how Requirements: It is assumed that you are familiar with a computer, that you know how to edit your website, that you know how to access the source code which comprises your web pages, that you know how to copy and paste, that you know how to download files, and that you know how to upload files to your server.

B- Usage:

B1) Sentry is to be used to provide a scripted login gateway to a membership website and to manage the members of that website.

B2) Because Sentry permits you to add custom fields to the member registration form, it is critical to stress that Sentry's form itself is NOT to be used to collect financial information such as credit card data. (Member Payments are handled securely by the Payment Processor, such as Stripe.)  Sentry will NOT be liable for the safety of such information. (see section on Limit of Liability).

Further, any material Sentry staff deems inappropriate will not be permitted and the account will be closed.

B4) Sentry reserves the right to refuse service to any website or customer, for any reason.

B5) Privacy Policy per GDPR Rules: Sentry does not EVER divulge or pass on the personal information or e-mail addresses of you or your members to anyone, anywhere, ever, at any time.  You have full privacy.  Sentry employees have no direct access to any personal information, including e-mail addresses, of your members.

B6) Stripe: Sentry now offers Stripe payment processing for both recurring and one time payments. You acknowledge that Sentry charges a small (just 1%) fee for each Stripe transaction. This fee will never rise.

There are no advertisements anywhere in the Sentry Login application.  Your members do not see any advertising.

Google may place or recognize a unique "cookie" on your Web browser. Information from this cookie may be used by Google to help provide advertisers with more targeted advertising opportunities. C- Limitation of Liability:

C1) Because Sentry permits you to add custom fields to the member registration form, it is critical to stress that Sentry's form itself is NOT to be used to collect financial information such as credit card data. C2) Under no circumstances will Sentry be liable for unauthorized entry to your site or for data theft due to unauthorized entry. 

C3) Sentry does not peruse, utilize, sell, transmit, or otherwise manipulate any data that you or your members enter into the Sentry database.

C4) Under no circumstances will Sentry be liable for damages, financial or otherwise, caused to your business or enterprise due to a down server or an outage of the Sentry system, regardless of duration.  Severably, you agree that Sentry shall not be responsible for monetary compensation to you beyond the amount of your most recent monthly payment to Sentry.


C5) SCA - Limitation of Liability for Strong Customer Authentication, a technology and rule imposed by the European Union.

Sentry has implemented and tested the Stripe SCA settings in our own account, but we make no guarantees about the efficacy of the settings in yours. Stripe assures us these settings should be sufficient when SCA is implemented. It is impossible to predict how perfectly a foreign country's transactional technology will function, particularly at its debut. If after the transition, EU payments are declined, please contact Stripe support for assistance. 

As part of this contract, you agree that Sentry SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE for any failed payments. If you do not agree, you must discontinue using Sentry immediately.


D- Free Trial / Billing / Cancellation / Refunds:

DA) One Free Trial per person, entity, domain, or company.  The System automatically detects any attempt(s) to obtain the Free Trial a second time, even if a different credit card or domain is used.  Accounts are automatically deleted if such abuse is detected.

D1) The Risk-Free period is for 7 days.  If you wish to cancel without being charged, you MUST cancel your Sentry account within that initial 7 days.  To Cancel from PayPal, go into your PayPal Account and click the Cancel Subscription button for the Sentry subscription.  We DO NOT handle cancellation requests sent to us by E-mail; you are responsible for cancelling your own subscription.  You have full control of your subscriptions inside your PayPal account. 

If you did not subscribe to Sentry through PayPal, you can cancel inside your Sentry account. Just log in, go to the My Account section, then scroll down and click the Cancel link.

D2) NO REFUNDS.  At Sentry's discretion, staff may choose to grant one time, one-month courtesy refunds as they see fit. However, you have and always had full control over the continuation of your paid subscription to Sentry. You are sent a monthly invoice receipt every time a payment goes through. That receipt is sent by Stripe or PayPal. It is your responsibility to ensure that the subscription is cancelled as early as possible.  

You can cancel, or could have at any time cancelled, the Sentry service as explained above and payments will stop or would have stopped. 

D3) DISPUTES

You, the subscriber to Sentry, agree that any dispute or claim relating in any way to your use of Sentry Login, or to any products or services sold or distributed by Sentry through Sentrylogin.com, will be resolved by BINDING ARBITRATION, rather than in court.  Further, and severably, you agree that this venue for arbitration shall take place in Ventura County, California.  Further, you agree to pay the entire cost of any arbitration proceedings, including 100% of the fees to the arbitrator, regardless of the outcome of the decision of the arbitrator.

E- Lifetime E-mail-only Technical Support

E1) Sentry staff will assist any paying Sentry webmaster via e-mail with technical support issues for the entire duration of the Sentry subscription at no cost.

E2) Sentry is not obligated to provide support to those with customized implementations of our product, including instances in which the webmaster has deliberately disobeyed our Integration instructions, added login forms onto protected pages, used Adobe Flash, used Frames or iFrames, engages or permits member password / credential sharing, extended, manipulated or otherwise altered our source code, or has implemented mixed versions of our source code.  Further, Sentry does not allow you to utilize any of our code to insert or retrieve information into or out of your own database.  Sentry is only to be used with its own database, no other. Violation of this will cause your Sentry account to be permanently closed.
